Email verification

Email verification for Newsletters and publishers

Remove abandoned and fake subscribers from the list.

What usually goes wrong

Giveaway and contest sign-ups with throwaway addresses.
Abandoned mailboxes that turn into bounces, or into spam traps at some providers.
Imported lists from a previous tool that were never checked.
An example

A publisher verifies the whole subscriber list once a quarter, removes the invalid addresses and keeps the risky ones in a segment that is mailed less often.

How to do it with Mailbite

  1. Export your subscribers from your newsletter tool as a CSV.
  2. Verify the file and download the results.
  3. Re-import the invalid addresses as unsubscribed or suppressed so they are never mailed again.
  4. Check new subscribers at the sign-up form through the API, or verify them in a batch each week.

Frequently asked questions

Will cleaning the list reduce my subscriber count?

Yes, by the addresses that were not reaching anyone. Open and click rates, which are measured against the list, usually look more honest afterwards.

Can verification find spam traps?

No service can promise that. Verification removes invalid and abandoned-looking addresses, which lowers the chance of hitting one.

Does it work with my newsletter tool?

Any tool that exports and imports CSV files works. See the integration guides for Mailchimp, HubSpot and Klaviyo.
