Disposable email checker

Enter a domain or an email address to see whether it belongs to a known throwaway email provider.

The check reads public DNS records only. No email is sent and the address is not stored.

Disposable (temporary) email services give out inboxes that vanish after minutes or hours. People use them to dodge sign-up forms, trials and newsletters. Addresses on these domains rarely become customers and often bounce soon after.

When to use it

  • You see a suspicious sign-up and want a quick check of the domain.
  • You want to know whether a domain belongs to a well-known throwaway provider.
  • You are deciding whether to block such addresses on your form.

How to read the result

  • "Disposable" means the domain is on our list of common throwaway providers.
  • "Not listed" does not prove the address is good: new disposable services appear all the time.
  • For a full answer on a specific mailbox, use email verification, which also checks the domain and the mailbox.

Frequently asked questions

Should I block disposable emails at sign-up?

For trials and free tiers, yes. They are rarely real customers. For newsletters, a confirmation email is a fair alternative.

Is the list complete?

No. It covers well-known providers. A verification service keeps a much larger and constantly updated database.

Are aliases such as Gmail plus addresses disposable?

No. They are real mailboxes and valid, just with a tag after the plus sign.
