How to Verify a Large Email List Without Blowing Your Budget
Seven practical ways to cut the cost of verifying a big list without lowering the quality of the result.
A list of several hundred thousand addresses can look expensive to verify. These steps keep the bill reasonable.
1. Deduplicate first
Remove duplicates in your spreadsheet or CRM before uploading. You should never pay twice for the same address.
2. Remove the obvious
Delete rows with no @ sign, empty cells and clearly fake entries yourself.
3. Skip recently verified contacts
If you verified part of the list in the last few months, upload only the new and older records.
4. Prioritise by value
Start with the segments you email most or that bring revenue, then clean the rest.
5. Split the job
Verify in batches and check the first results. If the invalid share is low, you may not need to verify the whole remainder immediately.
6. Use the free allowance
Every Mailbite account includes 100 verifications each month, useful for spot checks and testing your file.
7. Pick the plan by price per thousand
For a large list the price per 1,000 verifications matters most. Mailbite plans start at about $0.80 per 1,000 and fall to about $0.50 on the largest plan; compare them on the pricing page, then upload with the bulk verifier.
Clean your list before you send
Verify 100 email addresses free every month. Plans start at $19.90 a month for 25,000 verifications.
