Subscription vs Pay-As-You-Go Email Verification: Which Saves Money?
Plans and one-time packs both work; the price per thousand verifications and how unused credits are treated decide which saves you more.
Email verification is sold as monthly or yearly plans and as one-time credit packs. Neither is always cheaper. What matters is how you use it.
When a plan makes sense
You verify regularly: new sign-ups every day, several clean-ups a year, an API on a form. A plan with a low price per thousand and enough credits for your busiest period usually costs less than buying small packs again and again.
When one-time packs win
You clean the list once or twice a year and the volumes jump around. You pay only for the clean-up, but the price per thousand is often higher.
The calculation that decides it
- Add up what you verified in the last 12 months.
- Convert every offer to a price per 1,000 verifications.
- Check what happens to unused credits and whether they carry over when you change plan.
- Compare the total for a year, not the monthly sticker price.
What Mailbite offers
Mailbite gives every account 100 free verifications each month. Paid plans start at $19.90 a month for 25,000 verifications (about $0.80 per 1,000), then $39.90 for 60,000, $89.90 for 150,000 and $149.90 for 300,000, which is about $0.50 per 1,000 on the largest plan. When you move to another plan, the remaining credits of the old plan are added to the new one. See the current plans on the pricing page.
