Email verification for HubSpot

Find the addresses that bounce before you send. Mailbite checks syntax, domain, mail server, disposable providers and the mailbox itself, without sending a message.

  • 100 free verifications every month
  • No plugin to install

Why verify in HubSpot

Old contacts hide bounces and spam traps. Verifying the email property keeps marketing sends out of dead mailboxes.

A Mailbite account and a CSV export from HubSpot. The free plan covers 100 verifications a month, so you can test a sample first.

How it works with HubSpot

  1. In HubSpot open Contacts, then Export, and export your contacts with the Email property as a CSV.
  2. Upload the CSV to the bulk verifier and download the result files.
  3. In Settings, then Properties, create a contact property called Email check result (single-line text).
  4. Open Contacts, then Import, choose File from computer, One file, One object, Contacts. Map Email and the result column; HubSpot updates existing contacts by email.
  5. Create a list where Email check result is not invalid or risky and use it for marketing sends. You can also set the invalid contacts to non-marketing to stop paying for them.

A tip: Importing a result column instead of deleting records keeps deal and activity history intact.

What the results mean

  • Valid: The mailbox exists. Send.
  • Invalid: The address cannot receive mail. Remove it.
  • Risky: Accepts mail but cannot be confirmed, for example a catch-all domain. Send in small batches and watch bounces.
  • Unknown: The server did not answer. Retry later.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work with HubSpot forms?

HubSpot's own form fields are not changed. To check an address before it reaches HubSpot, call the API from your own form or backend.

How often should I clean the database?

Before large sends, after every import, and about every three months for an active database.
