Works with Shopify

Email verification for Shopify

Find the addresses that bounce before you send. Mailbite checks syntax, domain, mail server, disposable providers and the mailbox itself, without sending a message.

  • 100 free verifications every month
  • No plugin to install

How it works with Shopify

  1. In Shopify admin open Customers and choose Export. Export all customers as a CSV file.
  2. Upload the CSV to the bulk verifier and pick the email column.
  3. Download the results: valid, invalid and risky files.
  4. Back in Customers choose Import and upload the invalid file with the option to overwrite existing customers, setting their email marketing status to not subscribed.
  5. Tag the risky file as risky and send to that tag in small batches first.

A tip: Keep the original export so you can compare it with the verified file.

What the results mean

ValidThe mailbox exists. Send.
InvalidThe address cannot receive mail. Remove it.
RiskyAccepts mail but cannot be confirmed, for example a catch-all domain. Send in small batches and watch bounces.
UnknownThe server did not answer. Retry later.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Shopify app?

No, nothing to install. You export, verify and import.

Will this change my orders?

No. Only the contact records you import are updated; orders stay as they are.

How often should I clean the list?

Before every large campaign or sale.
